Pumpkin Carving and Halloween

The best place to carve pumkins is on the back of a truck tailgate next to the ditch.Sharianne gets "guts" on her fingers and shakes her hands making them fly in Jaspurs hair. Jay found a mustache at the halloween store and thought it would be funny to go as my dad for Halloween. Don't think my dad was too impressed.

First Day of school August 2010

This is Jaces first day of 4th grade. Jaspurs first day of 1st grade and Sharianne's first day of Kindergarten. Wow how time really does fly. I got a picture of Sharianne and Wyatt out waiting for the school bus.

Games Cowboys Play

My sister Tana was in charge of a cowboy fun night at the South Bannock County Fair. There was all sorts of crazy games like wild cow riding, bedroll races and the hide race. This Wiley my nephew pulling someone on a cow hide behind his horse. This is Wiley again lookin at tad bit dazed. His bronc got a little broncy and well you can see what happened. But the hide race has had it's deal with curses I swear every year someone get's hurt. There was games for adults and kids she did such a good job putting it together.

Jacoby's Farewell, Temple Square and Hogle Zoo.

I thought it would be neat to take of picture of the boys with Jacoby and then when he comes home from his mission in Hong Kong we will take another one to see how much all three of them have grown. After the farewell we went to Temple Square. I have been wanting to take the kids in the winter to see the lights but that hasn't happened yet. But it was so pretty in the summer too. These pictures were taken at the top of the conference center. We also went to the visitors center. They had a new exhibit on display and it is a miniature of what the Salt Lake Temple looks like on the inside we even had to wait in line to see it there was alot of people. The next day we went to Hogle Zoo. One of my favorite places. The funniest thing that day was when we seen the howler monkey's when we got up to the cage Jaron told Cade to be quiet. He thought Cade was screaming but it was the monkey. We could have watched it all day. I love the picture Jay took of the cat looking animal. I don't even know what it was but I think the flash on the camera made it squint like that.

Bancroft 24th of July

The 24th of July would not be the same without going to Bancroft. I think I have went almost every year since I was born. They have a parade every year that starts at 10:00 a.m. It is one of the biggest parades I have ever seen especially for a small town like Bancroft, Idaho. They best part is when you think the parade is over there it is coming back down the parade route. You get your fill of Bit-o-Honey, Tootsie Rolls and Saltwater Taffy to last until Halloween. After the parade we go watch the rodeo usually because a few people we know are in it or one of our kids. Jace and Jaspur have both rode sheep and calves there. This year Jace rode a steer. I was so proud of him he almost rode the whole 8 seconds. I take a picture almost every year of the kids fast asleep before we even make it on the Highway to head home. Such a fun day with friends, family, rodeo, and of course the over dose of sugar. They are extremely tuckered out. I know there will a time when I won't be able to come and celebrate the 24th in Bancroft but I will have such fond memories.

We don't get to see Drew and his family very often so it is alot of fun when we get together. It is nice Dax has a birthday in July because it is nice and warm. The kids played in the water all day long.

One of our favorite past times is taking the horses out to the desert and riding. When we are done with the horses we take a second and do a little shooting, even the girls.

THE BIG BLUE

This is Jay's Truck that he loved! But we didn't love the price to keep it every month. The kids nick named it The Big Blue, it was from Finding Nemo. That is how one of the fish describe the Ocean. We ended up selling it but glad we have pictures of it.

Albion at the Chatburn's

We went to Albion to Lyndsey and Cody's baby girl Jetta's baby blessing. What a pretty place, I love Albion I had never been there before then. The kids had a blast playing outside, they were bugging me for weeks about when we were going to go back.

The Madd Hatter Tea Party for Sharianne's 5th Birthday.
I do not throw extravagant Birthday parties for my kids ever year just when they turn 5 and 8 after that I haven't decided.

Each of the girls got to decorate their own top hats with paint and glitter. Then we had some real herbal with sugar and cream and everything a few of the younger girls didn't like it so much but the older girls had a few cups. I think the flavor was wild berry or something like that.

After they tried there tea, we had finger sandwiches with egg salad and turkey salad in them along with some purple jello jigglers. I also made these cute rainbow cupcakes for dessert.

Here are a few pictures of Sharianne opening her presents, she got to sit next to her grandpa Tom who is one of her favorite people. She got a lot of fun stuff. But the funniest thing is that she got a lot of cloths and and almost everything was purple. And I didn't say a word to anyone but purple is her favorite color right now and it has always been mine. But all the shirts are so different I don't care if they are all purple.

Pine Wood Derby

When your kids turn eight I swear things get ten times busier than they used to be. Jace is now old enough to be in scouts and just in time for the pine wood derby. He was very excited The car only took a couple of days I helped paint it and him and his dad figured out the shape of the car. He didn't place this year but he did get a trophy for best paint job or something like that.

When the big winter storm came through Jay helped the boys build a snow cave in the yard. They had a blast playing in it for a few weeks. As of now the cave is gone and things are finally warming up. YAY!!

Jaspur loves to cook. For Christmas Grandma Brower gave the kids packages of cookie mix. When we get bored and can't figure out what to do Jaspur puts on his apron grandma made him and we make cookies. As you can tell he loves it, but takes it very seriously too.

OUR FAMILY PICTURE FOR 2008

Ya no how I said things are going to be out of order well these are Jaspur's Birthday pictures from November but the kids were so cute I had to post the pictures. I made cute cupcakes and put toy horses on them. The kids dressed up as cowboys(girls) and they decorated their own vests out of paper sacks. They had a lot of fun. But I am glad I don't do parties like that every year for my kids, it really wears ya out.

Jace's Baptism January 31st

Jace and Jay gave a little talk on baptism, uncle Jaron gave one on the Holy Ghost, and Jaspur and Sharianne sang I am a child of God their favorite song for their brother is was really special.

Jace was baptized on January 31st we had a really great turn out of family and friends. It was a really nice service. Jace gave a little talk before anyone. Jaspur and Sharianne sang a duet together of I am a child, it was so dang cute. Thanks to everyone who talked and helped out especially Tana for saving us by playing the piano. We had dinner at our house after ,not everyone came but those who did it was really nice to be able to visit with everyone. Jace recieved some money as gifts which he was thrilled to get enough to buy a new wii game. It is in the mail as we speak. Thanks again everyone we love ya.

It's a New Year!

Christmas came and left. It is bitterly cold here. It just stormed this weekend since before Christmas it is something we need pretty bad. But I hate the cold. I don't mind the snow as long as the roads are not slick. Anyways, we have had a busy January. Jace turned 8 on January 19th He had a birthday party from 11:00 - 3:00 that day ,I had 10 eight and nine year old boys running around the house. He had a pizza party, and cake and ice cream and they played the nintendo Wii, and ran around the house playing army. I can't believe I made it out alive to tell you the truth. He is going to be baptized on January 31st at 6:00. He is really excited.

I don't know how some of you are doing but here in SouthEast Idaho it is going to be a very White Christmas. It is done snowing right now and I am pretty sure we have ten inches or more. I attempted to drive today. I went to my cousins up the road which wasn't a wise decision because the wind came up and started drifting in the roads I made it home just fine I was driving the truck. But I really don't think I like snow very well. With Jay being gone for 4 days out of the week it is not very fun to do chores when the snow is up to my knees. But I shouldn't complain either because we do need it really bad.

The Brower Christmas Party!

On December 20th it was the annual Brower Christmas party. This is a pretty big deal in our family. The kids love going they get to play with their cousins that they only see usually once a year, and see Santa Clause. This year quite a few didn't make it and we missed them but what can ya do. Joyce (mother-in-law) did a great job as usual. She fixes the main meal this year it was mashed potatoes and Turkey gravy and corn and other people brought side dishes and goodies to snack on. It was really yummy. She lovingly makes a lot of the gifts that she gives which is 60 or more between kids, grandkids and great grandkids this year she made the grandaughters aprons they are so cute. The grandsons got cute pillow cases too. My boys have cowboys on them of course. I took a lot of pictures so hopefully i can get them posted soon.

These pictures are from September. Jaspur, Jace and Sharianne all entered some things in the Eastern Idaho State Fair. They each got 10.00 in premium money so they were excited. Jaspur is holding his sand art picture and a watercolor he did.

Also at the fair there was childrens tractor pulling I took Jaspur and the girls I babysit and the competed against each other. It was so fun to watch he is pedaling with everything he's got.

CARVING PUMPKINS

For pre-school the kids went to a pumkin patch to get a pumpkin. It was pretty cold but everyone had fun.

Halloween was fun. We went to our churches trunk or treat and had chili and cinnamon rolls. The kids partied for a couple days in a row between a preschool party and a birthday party and then Halloween the kids had a pretty good Halloween. I have issues with the whole candy thing though. I hate when they ask you a thousand times a day if they can have some so my kids ate theirs in 2 days and I don't have to worry about it anymore. The dentist says that is the best thing to do to as long as they brush good. They didn't get a whole bunch of candy either just enough. This month is going to be busy between birthdays and thanksgiving but it should be fun too. I hope to post pictures soon.

As of right now Jay is working in Wyoming for an electrical company, anywhere from Pinedale Wyoming to Jackson just depends on the week. I am at home with the kids and I sell close to my heart scrapbooking supplies and stamps which I love, I also babysit other kids during the day. Jace our oldest is going to be 8 years old and getting babtized in January I can't believe how fast they grow up. He is in second grade this year and he seems to enjoy it. It is crazy but he got more homework in first grade than he gets in second it is fabulous. Jaspur is in Preschool Tues-Thrus he really enjoys it but he gets lonely without Jace to play with during the day. Sharianne well what can I say she is the most challenging thing I have going right now. I don't know what to do with that kid. She is very hard to understand and really mean. She was recently going to preschool with Jaspur but I took her out because she is mean to the other kids. I am hoping a couple hours of alone time while the kids are in school will help.
It is hard somedays because Jay is gone for 4 days out of the week and when he gets home everyone else needs his help that we don't see him as much as we would like. But we are dealing with it not much else we can do. The kids have their own chores and they do them pretty well and that helps out alot. That is about all I have for now hopefully I can get some pictures on soon.

I thought I would give the whole blog thing a try, I can't promise how often it will be updated or when I can get pictures on it but it looks like it could be fun.

Here is a little bit about my family. My husband Jay and I have been married almost 8 years July 28th is our anniversary. Which seems crazy that seems like a long time, but it has been great and I look forward to spending many more years to come with him. We have 3 wonderful children. Jace who is 7 can't wait for summer break to start he likes school but can't wait to be able to play all day. Jaspur is 4 Our little handful he is lucky he is cute. He really likes to torment his big brother and little sister to see what kind of reaction he can get out of them. And last Sharianne is 3 and she basically rules the house if Sharianne wakes up happy then the should go pretty good if not we're in for a ride.

We have lived in Blackfoot, Idaho for the last 51/2 year. My husband Jay is a Journeymen Electrician we have our own business and he works for another Electrical company also. I just started working at Texas Roadhouse as a waitress to make a little extra for the summer. But I am hoping to start massage therapy school in the fall.
